How it went
There were many predictions by multiple players of DemocracyCraft about the election results. The most famous one, by MSMBS, which actually was pretty close to reality. Out of the 11 seats in HoR, MSMBS managed to predict the 7 (RealImza, Smami, girlfailcoded, Talion77, Plura72, Anthony_org, Scassany), and 2 of the 3 Senates (1950minecrafter and DocTheory).
MSMBS also predicted that Vernicia will take a Senate spot, but they ended up getting a representative seat.
Alongside the aforementioned 7 representatives, the other 4 are Multiman155, CaldironJa1, Vernicia, and zLost.
As for Senate, 1950minecrafter and DocTheory were elected, alongside Inknet, who was running as an independent.
Statements
*This section may be updated over the next few hours, depending on whether the Representatives and Senates will give us quick statements.
House of Representatives:
- CaldironJa11: ‘Overall, that was a very competitive election, a lot of big names and new parties giving a shot, the results were overall shocking! I would never imagine that a bedrock player that joined June 28 would be the second most voted Rep. And here we are, the most fragmented House, but I’m really willing to give my best to work together with all of them towards an active, effective and progressive Congress. My expectations for WPR were fulfilled, but I never imagined such downfall of the RBP‘.
- Plura72: ‘I am very excited about this term. With less IRL obligations and more experience, I will be more active than before. My goal is to fulfill my campaign promises and also support new representatives as they get started‘.
- Scassany: ‘I’m so excited to actually have made it to the house! I cannot thank enough everyone who has helped or who has given me positive feedback about my campaign. The next two months will be exciting and I can’t wait for every day of my term as representative. Thank you all so much <3‘
- Girlfailcoded: ‘There’s not much to say. I like most of my fellow house members. This should be a productive term‘
- Smami: ‘As I said before, I am optimistic. I think this house will be quite capable of working together and generally be more cooperative than we were last term‘
- zLost: ‘I have one thing to say: No more STV (Single Transferable Vote)‘.
Senate:
- Inknet: ‘No, I am good, I already wrote a press release‘ (refused to give us a quick statement)
- DocTheory: ‘Thanks and no, thanks‘ (refused to give us a quick statement)
- 1950minecrafter: ‘After seeing the results, most of it was kind of expected. Although I thought Vernicia would be in the Senate, not the House, and I expected tLO to get 1 seat. But overall, I think it’s a positive result in terms of diversity of options. STV, once again, has proven to be a more representative system. The election has also shown that while the WPR hegemony might have been reduced, we are still up and running, and we’ve ended up being the party with most representatives. Some said the WPR was dead, well, this election proved them wrong‘.
